Your ski hotel in Obertauern right on the piste
You don’t need a ski bus or a car to access the lifts from our hotels. The entrance to the Tauern circuit is right behind the hotel, at the Gamsleiten 6-seater chairlift. Due to the altitude of 1,630 - 2,313 m, snow is guaranteed at the Obertauern skiing resort from November to May. So there’s nothing stopping you from having a fantastic skiing holiday in Austria's most snow-sure region.

On your skis, get set, go!
2 combination lifts, 1 gondola lift, 17 chair lifts and 6 drag lifts between 1,630 m and 2,313 m await carving fans and boarder freaks. More than 100 kilometres of piste at different degrees of difficulty take you into the wonderful winter world of the Alps, away from power tourism and queueing marathons! All lifts are easily accessible without a car or bus. Access to the Gamsleiten 6-seater chairlift directly behind the hotel.
Ski pass and areas
You automatically receive your KeyCard when you buy a weekly ski pass in our hotel. You have contactless access to all ski lifts in the Obertauern ski resort without having to insert your ski ticket.
The Obertauern ski pass is valid for 1.5 days or more in the Grosseck - Speiereck ski resort in Mauterndorf, about 15 km away. Free ski buses run in both directions approximately every hour.

Free skiing for children aged 5 and under
Children aged 5 and under can ski for free in Obertauern when accompanied by an adult.
All children aged 5 and under can obtain a free ski pass in the form of a touchless key card from the ski school. Thanks to our prime location - directly at the Top Ski School meeting point, where the magic carpet is also located, children can easily get to the ski course and back again. It’s 10 metres from the ski cellar to the meeting point!

“Spot” – the Obertauern snow park
The Spot - to be, for everyone for whom the normal slopes just aren't enough. There are 40 different elements available, including a quarter pipe, two kickers of different sizes, numerous rails, all kinds of boxes and much more. There is also an Easy Line where beginners can learn the art of freestyling.
Guided ski tour
Our ski instructor takes people on the Tauern Circuit every Sunday. Zehnerkar - Seekar - Hundskogel - Plattenkar-Gamskar - and back to Zehnerkar. Join where it suits you.
Every Sunday (from around 20 December), the entrance is directly behind our hotel at the 6-seater chairlift Gamsleiten 1. This is where the ski carousel goes round, with 100 km of closely spaced pistes and 26 ski lifts: Zehnerkar - Seekar - Hundskogel - Plattenkar-Gamskar - and back to Zehnerkar. Obertauern is located in Salzburg province, in the beautiful and snow-sure Tauern region in the middle of the Radstadt Tauern. You'll see why they call Obertauern the place "where snow is at home".
Skiing course
The ski school meeting point is only 10 metres away from the ski cellar! Not only do little skiers get excited about this, but also their parents. It’s where the ski aces of tomorrow meet their ski instructors, the Bobo Kinderland of the Top Ski School and the magic carpet are also located here!
Ski hire
You can hire top-class ski equipment for the whole family in our partner shop Skiworld. There is a 10% online discount for our guests (nearest store: Mitte).
